(x) Looking for non-distressed version of Papyrus - various alternatives {Mike Y}

Tonie Blaze

First of all, I apologize in advance if I put this in the wrong forum. I am searching for a font in the same style as the font Papyrus, that is not distressed. Can anyone give me words of wise guidance on where something like this might live? Thanks!

I think Rick Mueller's Parchment at TypOasis may be undistressed, and Scriptorium has a Papyrus-like font called Ereshkigal (may be distressed) and 3 Islands Press has Fidelma, a similar, undistressed style.

Here is a link for Fidelma. It is irregular, but not 'eroded' like Papyrus.

Here is David Nalle's Ereshkigal, a somewhat modified take on Papyrus (the A is different at least), complete with similar erosions to look like it was written on its original's namesake writing material.

Wow! Thanks so much...

Chris Costello, designer of Papyrus, is working on a non-distressed version. You might e-mail him an find out if any is available yet.

In with FontShop's Papyrus alternatives list before Stephen!

A free font, but very interesting in my opinion:
Epistolar

A non-distressed Papyrus? Adobe Present comes close.
