The Chanel logo (above) looks more like a grotesque than a geometric sans to me. It fits somewhere between Akzidenz Grotesk and an extended sans like ITC Blair.

This has come up before here and here. I believe it's custom designed, but there are good alternatives in those threads. If you want near identical letterforms, Chank's Katwalk is based (at least in part) on this very design.
