Taking Woodstock Font

searnhardt

I need help identifying the font in the Taking Woodstock movie poster. I've looked through the archives for groovy, 60s/70s typefaces and come across a few good ones but I'm not sold yet. Thanks for your help. Simone
(ps) What's this poster style called - I cannot remember!

This is what is often referred to as psychadelic type. It's going to be hand-drawn in order to be wrapping in this style.

Arnold Boecklin is probably the most well known psychadelic style typeface.

Is that an official poster? Seems a bit daring for Hollywood these days. I don't see any Trajan on it anywhere.
