any female handwriting font for a love letter ?

elihpopyt

Hello, I've fond lots of handwriting fonts at dafont.com for example, but I can't figure out which one are female. I'd like one that shows passion, it's for a love letter. thx

Usually, female handwriting is rounder, larger in x-height and clearer.
As for showing passion, you'll need to feel yourself if it communicate passion to you.

Maybe a bit too rough, BUT based an the handwriting of a woman:

There are beautiful feminine handwriting fonts in the Bluemlein Script Collection from Sudtipos.

I guess Liza is who you're looking for!

People use handwriting fonts for love letters now? Wow. :-|

Gerban, although i absolutely adore Liza, it's more lettering than handwriting and thus shows more actual restraint than passion.

Please write this by hand. Your writing will feel better in both content (edit, edit, edit) and form.

Poetry should always be hand written. It may be transposed later into digital to be mass-produced, but the creation should be personal.

At the risk of offending almost everyone here (not much risk unless you're new), there is not much that is passionate about fonts except the conception and r&d of such fonts. Once they are put on paper by a font "user" they might be great design, many other wonderful things, but passionate and intimate is not the first thing that comes to mind.

Let the tirades begin.

Right Paul C.
Otherwise it's a bit like Cyrano.

Let the tirades begin.

i wonder if anybody here will advocate the use of script fonts for personal letters.

Might be nice for anyone with a disability that precludes the possibility of using their own handwriting. "If I could handwrite this, it would look like this..."

Otherwise, what Paul and Nick said.

If it's just "I'm a bit ashamed of my handwriting, it's kinda sloppy", then practice. So am I; mine's appalling. Perhaps print some tests of whichever of these fonts you like, find a good pen, and try copying them. Exact slavish reproduction won't be the point, but getting a feel for well-shaped lettering will be. Think of the patience to spend a lot of time on it as one facet of the passion you want it to express...

[Yikes, that sounded cheesy. You know what I mean...]

Doesn't matter if you handwriting is ordinary, just write with a nice fountain pen on pink paper and add some glittery sprinkles and a dab of scent.

I dun writ mi wuman tuns o letrs with my big fat grade skool pensle. she dun got um pastd alll over thu outhows : )

Seriously though... write it don't set it. Even though I design some cards for greeting card companies I always try to do something by hand for those special occasions. I guarantee you it IS about content and not about the delivery system... but the thought of hand done will finish them off!

Michael

Edit: Nick nice finish, the scent is a great idea.

I don’t even send typeset thank-you notes. A typeset love letter is just sad.

Yes indeed, unless if it's going to be mass produced. :D
