Looking for a wedding ring font

tic

We're getting our wedding rings hand-engraved, and our engraver tells us that we can pick any typeface we like.

So which one would you recommend?

Here are some that came off the top of my head.

High Elvish because a bit of magic will help.

I actually quite like Adobe Garamond Pro Italic. It has, in my opinion, an unexpected elegance. Apart from that maybe Bembo or Caslon.

I don’t think a classical lead typeface (Garamond, Bembo …) suits best for engraving. It should be a typeface which has something engraving-like in the very nature of its style.
Of the well-known this could be something like Didot or a classical script face. If you’re looking for something more fancy, look at

– its perfect for engraving (and all your other wedding stationary).

Ah, above all: * B E S T _ W I S H E S *

Lucky you! I was presented with the following five choices:

  • Times New Roman
  • Arial Bold Italic
  • Mistral
  • Bernhard Fashion
  • Shelley Allegro
