Hello,
I'm looking to identify the type on this english heritage plaque. Many thanks for any help in advance.
Julian

Thanks Lex, you're right, I should have noticed the difference between letters. Do you have a sense of what type style(s) is informing it?
I just found an imitation font distributed by K-Type called 'Blue Plaque' but I would prefer it not simulate the engraving: http://www.k-type.com/?p=548
Here is an obituary to the designer of the blue plaque, Henry Hooper: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/obituaries/henry-hooper-529544.html
And in the spirit of answering my own query, more info on the design here: http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/server/show/nav.1496
Goudy Sans has a similar spirit. The rougher version from P22 might suit your project:
