Typophile

It's ALIVE, it's Alive!!!

Chris Lozos

Sharon is breathing a sigh of relief since Typophile is back alive and running! :-)

ChrisL

Having withdrawal symptoms, Dez?

(Ah--one of my favourite movies! "Let's have a cigar, shall we?" "Hruuuuhhh!")

Frau Blücher! ...Winnee!!!

ChrisL

You could have photoshopped out my mustache, Chris!

LOL!!!

ChrisL

Could be worse... Could be raining!

It is raining! And mustaches and monsters aside, it hasn't changed. How disappointing!

I was hoping a new server would bring new more interesting content. Doesn't it work that way?

Sure, James, but we have to wait for our content bailout to get through congress first :-)

ChrisL

Chris, you should have found a image that included also the blond lady. Cheers.

Since you asked so nicely :-)

ChrisL

Do you say 'Froderick'?

Chris, that's much better. Who needs a monster after all? This is much more interesting :)

If typography teaches us nothing, it teaches us to accept our failures, as well as our successes, with quiet dignity and grace. ...

Grace couldn't make it but here is George:

I was hoping to rely on Typophile to overcome my hospital boredom, but here it's back up just in time for my discharge. Pfeh!

When are they going to realize that Typophile is a *critical service* requiring 24/7 uptime? When?

Oh wait, that's Google. Never mind. :)

Cheers,

T

This appeared as the title in the browser window bar:

; )

...with the message to visitors below. I thought the emoticon said it all: "expect a big change when we're back up and running."

Then again, April Fool's Day is around the corner. If it's anything like last year's design, the "big change" is coming right up!

James, we're in talks now with our host about getting better content out of the package. They're not making promises.

Thomas, sorry we couldn't make your hospital stay more pleasant.

Hmm. I think that in this case the ;) in the title was because we used the same temporary page from last year's April fools joke :( Sorry to disappoint.

Thomas, What got you into the Hospital? Were they extracting old Adobe war shrapnel? :-)

ChrisL

Hey, Christian. Not disappointed at all. Typophile hardly needs a redesign! Thanks.

ChrisL: Nothing major, just cut through my lower jaw at an oblique angle on both sides and slid the bone out about 4-5 mm (0.2"). Oh, and removed three wisdom teeth while they were at it. I look like a caricature of a guy with a big jaw. I have a really funny picture of the massive swelling on my iPhone....

Cheers,

T

Oh my gosh -- your iPhone is swollen, too?

Thomas, you got a Jay Leno? :-)
Glad all is well but not that all is swell!
