Lubalin's Fact magazine covers

shaaaark

Can anyone tell me what typeface Herb Lubalin used for the FACT logotype?

Thanks!

Stephen Coles

The contrast is so high it leads me to believe this is hand drawn and in the style of Caslon. ITC Caslon 224 and Big Caslon are my best matches.
