Order of fonts in menus

paragraph

What am I doing wrong? The sorting of font names is inconsistent in my families:

I would prefer Regular first, Italic second. Is it alpha order?

You're not doing anything wrong. I'm pretty sure you can't control it. I've never seen font menus display as anything but lightest to boldest. Just a matter of getting used to it.

This can be caused by having the Italic angle incorrectly set to zero in the italic font.

None of the italics have the angle set: not zero, just empty. So it is in alphabetical order now (I before R), is it?

Thanks, Miguel. Works like a charm (did not clear the caches, silly me).

Leaving the field empty is the same as having a zero value in it.

If you use an old fashioned style of having the lowercases slant more than the uppercase, should you put the uppercase value, the lowercase value, or some midpoint of the two?

I'd use the lowercase value. On an average paragraph lowercase letters are more frequent than uppercase.
