okay i need to try to recreate this logo, anyone know if they used a certain font for this? I almost want to think so because the E's are identical. but that doesn't mean a whole lot. anyway, any help would be appreciated.

You might try searching on the term 'Typewriter fonts'. There is one site I know comes up when I run this search, but I think maybe that's as close as I want to point you in case there are any 'gray' fonts involved, if you know what I mean.
