Migration finally released :^)

André Simard

After almost 4 years, I’ really pleased to annouce the release of the Migration Sans typeface.

This project start in may 2005: http://typophile.com/node/12592 As it is my first typeface you will probably understand why I’m so excited. I did’nt know where the projet would go when I started it, but now it’s a real typeface and I want to tell my gratitude to all typophile members who gave me their comments or advices all along the process.

Special thanks to Hrant, Chris, Mark and Nick on Typophile and also Xavier Dupré and Ian Party on Typographe.

I also want to thanks Allan Haley and Jim Wasco from Monotype Imaging for their great support.

Hello Chris, I wondered why I did not receive any answer from you. I will try to fix that soon and I will resent my e-mail.

Thanks again for your comment.

André

I sent an email to Cox who I assume is your ISP to ask about it but have not received an answer yet.

Congratulations on finishing the design.

But doesn't that G look too wide in MIGRATION? Especially when it appears with the M and O. No?

Not really to my point of view. Read the text below the headline. It's start with the word DESIGNER… and the G fit very well in the text. I know that's the small caps but we've made some test also in caps and it gave a nice «color» to the text. Thanks for your question.

André

Congratulations on finishing up four years of work. This one looks like a winner!

Thanks James. I appreciate your comment.

Hi André: Versatile typeface family. Cool appearance!. Excellent work well done.
