Serif used in the Deadwood credits?

KelsRock

I've been tearing through the Deadwood series boxset we got at Christmas and am in love with the serif used in the opening credits.

Anyone know what it is? The minuscule y's and g's are fantastic!

This may sound crazy, but it could be a modified Georgia Italic.

LOL..you might just be right. Wonder where they got that "idea" from?

Probably from the same place they got the idea to use Times New Roman for Charlie Utter's company's sign and Brush Script on some ribbons in season 3.
