100 year old Font match for film credits

Alan Miller

I love the font on this 100 year old photo album that serves as a prop in my film. I want to match it so that I can create a typography based visual effect, and the credit sequence. Can anyone out there help me out??

This was hand drawn. No font will get you close, though you might like Recherché and its alternates.

I figured it would be a unique one. Thanks for the help.

You might find something you like at Letterhead Fonts The P reminds me of a more ornate version of their Billhead.

Are you actually looking for something like the lettering on old speech cards from silent movies?

No I'm looking more for something that has an essence of fairy tale to it. Like opening up the first page of an old storybook of Grimms. The film muddles time periods, so I'm looking for something whimsical, classic, and bold.

Baroque Text perhaps?

Some possible fairy tale fonts:

Nick Curtis's Inglenook Corner
Scriptorium's Elphinstone
Type Associate's Endoradine

If you can do without the ornated caps, I think Zinco is very good. Plus, you would not risk to have an excessively North-american flavor, since your example feels more european…
