more like a "I know!" question

Ken W

For my portfolio for college applications, I want to re-design a famous furniture/ modern home company. whether its a catalogs or buses, I want to design them all!
So heres my question to all of you.
Please list every possible old-school companies that still exist that you know about.
EX: Knoll, Vignelli associates, Helvetica loving companies.

Does IKEA count?

Oh, I just noticed the age of the thread. :o

I was thinking Swedese: http://www.swedese.se/home/

Or Fritz Hansen: http://www.fritzhansen.com/en

Oh my! This is quite the resurrection.

*blink* *blink* This would have got the mods on Fukufics hopping.

@Té: Howso?

@Ken: Start by investigating the work of old designers like Müller-Brockmann and conduct your research from there.

It happened there, too, at the same time. The poor slob got told off by a mod for thread necromancy. Wonder why. :straight-faced:

Aside: Thread necromancy is the act of reviving old threads. It's very easy to forget or never notice that a thread is past its sell-by date when one gets deep into the reading, especially with weak or no telltales. I still don't know what's the best telltale, probably a reasonably well-sized "Last post: ### ago." just above the submit button.
