DIN Black All Caps- Accompaniment

Fostergrant

Hey all, thought I'd throw this out there in case anyone has been down this road.

A young designer I work with has chosen DIN Black all caps for a clients' corporate word mark ( I know most German designers will be shaking their heads, apologies to them...) The client has approved it and he needs to come up with a secondary sans serif typeface for the tag line. He's in a panic so I thought I'd put it out there to you all. I can't include the word mark or tag line for confidentiality reasons.

Any initial thoughts or reccos are appreciated.

Cheers

Tried a lighter weight of DIN?

Yeah, he's using DIN Regular now but it's looking too 'Din'. Found some good options online, should be ok.

Cheers

Try Meta Serif– it's a nice compromise between a sans and a classic serif.

What about the "squarish" FF Sanuk, FF Fago, FF Unit? From more angular to more rounded.
From these i'd try Fago first.

BTW
PMN Caecila can look very good together with FF Din All Caps

Thanks poms and Mac_56, will check those out.
