hey Typophile folks-
I am at the end of a logo development process with a grassroots media justice organization. They wanted Avant Garde for the font, and I'm just trying to put the final fine tuning on the logo's type. any feedback greatly appreciated!

Dislike the varying weights. And don't quite get the mark. Seems too retro with the font choice and color scheme.

Boy, that space after the A (which calls attention to itself) really screams to have the mark placed there.
If you have to use Avant Garde, don’t use the gimmicky letters and/or ligatures. And try using different weights to keep the letters feeling consistently thick across sizes.
