Sketch for personal logo

kiko

Hi all

I’m sketching a logo for my own identity, I work has a graphic designer. Honestly, I didn’t spend enough time on this. On a couple of hours this is what I have.

.
It comes from a simplified combination of an “H” and a “V” (my name and surname first letters), with a minimalist look, the dot tries to balance things. I’m aware it’s not clear and legible, but i think this could work only has a mark. What do you guys think? ...Start again? :)

Feel free to comment.
Thanks in advance

Regards

It looks like a ’W’ to me. Perhaps developing the ’H’ a little (adding a crossbar or the suggestion of one?) could help to make the ’HV’ more obvious.

It’s more like ’W’ or a punch fist :)

Lose the period if it means nothing. With minimalism every element needs to add something and be integral to the mark. Nothing can be superfluous.

I was not looking for a literal and obvious HV, but going more abstract. Anyway you’re right, it really looks more like a W, but the punch fist it’s what’s pissing me more :). The pointless of the dot is true too.

I really should try a different approach.

I dig the look of it, though I saw a W too.

Would putting crossbars in be too literal for you? Something like this (pardon the quick comp, I hope you don’t mind):

Hi Altaira

Yes, maybe using croosbars could make it more clear, and it could work.
Your idea looks interesting... but that crossbars will have to be thicker or they will disappear at small sizes.
