Grids and Modules for Pictograms and Characters.

Thorsten Geiger

I'm looking for visual examples of grids and modules for Logos, Icons, Pictograms and Typefaces.

My list contains:

- Wim Crouwel: Alphabets
- Norm: The Things. Norm: SimpleKoelnBonn (www.lineto.com > The Designers > Norm > Simple-Airport > Specimen > Page 2)

Do you know more?

(Wasn't there a picture of the transit font's bell with grid somewhere?)

Dan Reynolds

I like Visual Function: An Introduction to Information Design, by Paul Mijksenaar. It is a tiny book, but good. I think it has some schematic ISO pictograms in it.
