It looks beautiful; the curves don’t quite work yet but I don’t think that’s the main problem. To be honest, I could absolutely not read it until I read your explanation, and even knowing what letters are supposed to be there, it’s really hard. I see FJa, or maybe FSa or FHl or FHe, but mostly just a nice scripty “thing” (sorry). The d is not a d, and the u looks like it wants to be an a or maybe an o or a couple of e’s or something.

Also, have you checked if an “Fdu” (instead of “FDU”) treatment may be confusing?

FWIW, your letters reminded me just a bit of Pivo – might be worth checking out.

I see JLee. It’s an interesting mark, but needs to be focused. I’d try drawing the letters individually and then working them together with loose or thin connectors.

Looks like “FSee” to me. The way the letters connect is so different from what is expected, that it becomes unreadable. Keep working at it.

Thanks for the advice. I do agree. I’ll see if I can post some new sketches. Gotta figure out a way to connect the letters and still keep it readable.

Maybe the way to use big, swashy script letters and keep it readable as initials is not to connect them. You might also get away with all three letters as caps, which never looks right in a connected script.

Sorry to say but I wasn’t able to read it at all. Then I started reading texts and it doesn’t resemble to FDU at all.
