Seismologist Julian Lozos quaking in the news!

Chris Lozos

Check out the link or your west cost newspaper for the article and photo of my son Julian:

Awesome Chris... makes you proud doesn’t it.

Michael

Sure does! :-)

ChrisL

That is really cool Chris,

Thanks, Bob! The multiple geekdom effect is awsome. Julian has a home seismograph on a Mac laptop sitting in front of his Balanese Gamalan instrument! Julian just finished a Masters degree in Music Composition and now is working on a Masters to PhD in GeoPhysics with a specialty in earthquake science—bang the gong then crack up or whatever shakes you :-)

ChrisL

Is he going to be a seismologist when he graduates?

Michael

I am not sure, but something involving predictions of earthquake effects from seismic data. It is well beyond my technical expertise. It will be a GeoPhysics major but the career path beyond that has several possibilities.

ChrisL

Cool! Best Wishes to your son.

Well done, daddy! I don’t have funny pictures this time :)

Well how about this one of my daughter in ’87, star struck by your son Julian’s sure to come accomplishments? She sees the future! Just not seismic events.

Michael

She is quite a cuty:-) Give her a big hug!

ChrisL

I wish him all the best for his future; I’m sure he will make you feel a proud father, again.

That’s great, Chris! Julian looks like a true scientist.

Thanks Satya and Mili!

Julian just informed me of my typo. When I wrote “Balanese” I should have said “Javanese”. Se how flaky parents can be in their old age :-)
