Hi I am new here so please forgive me if I have made any etiquette mistakes by posting in the wrong area.
i am sure you chaps must have covered this before although a search beared no suitable results.
I am looking for a font very close to the C4 family (channel 4), really desperate to find a close match. My client did not like my first choices of Din, Aniverse or Museo - at this rate i'll be whipping out Comic Sans and hanging my head in shame.
thanks thomas
C4 family? How about posting an image or link?
of course, sorry here is a link to a pdf

Hm. A close match will be hard to find. Some suggestions:
Etelka
Neo Sans/Tech
BetaSans
how about either Housegothic text or Simianchimpanzee text from House Industries?
JH
How about a less “technoid” / “futuristic” font?
Check out these fonts:

thanks ever so much, good recommendations, the Etelka Monotype pro Bold comes quite close, with a little tweaking I might be able to get some of the personality of the C4 font into that.
One more suggestion from a latecomer to this thread: Sys.

As you probably know, it's a custom font by Fontsmith

However, Soho Gothic comes fairly close with one of its OpenType stylistic alternate sets (which, curiously, Monotype don't show you here):
