Various Watchmen Graphic Novel Fonts

zap_rowsdower

Could you folks help me identify (or find the closest real world matches to) many of the fonts used in the Watchmen graphic novel? I understand that many of these fonts are hand drawn, but again, what I'm looking for are their closest real world counterparts. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

zap, here's a start for the first 5.

if you use the 'insert image', it makes things a bit easier to ID these. ;)

1. Hand lettered, not a font — lots of sans fonts are similar, including Granby.

2. Hand lettered, not a font

3. Hand Lettered, closest to Cloister Black

4. Helvetica Black

5. Hand lettered, not a font

6-9 are all hand-lettered, not fonts.

You might want to check out Comicraft.

13 and 14 are also hand-lettered

Besides Comicraft, here are some good comic book resources.

Okay, I've uploaded all the images to make things easier.

Also, I fully understand that many of these "fonts" were hand-lettered by the illustrator. What I'm looking for are the closest real world counterparts to these hand-lettered "fonts."

10. A fattened Caslon Antique

15. Hobo, dunno, Computer, Helvetica

8. Digital Delivery is quite similar.
