It's a shame you're limited to Adobe because the majority of that library has a very classical or American feel which may not be appropriate for Neo. Contrast can be good, though.

Ahh, PMN Caecilia could be considered a great text-optimized alternative to Serifa.

Not serious enough is what I meant by light (I guess it would have been easier to say that)

I wish I had charter, the closest I have is joanna, but it doesn't seem as modern. I tried using Utopia and it was o.k. but didn't fit as well as I would like.

I'm not sure on which weights I only have the bold and regular so I've got a 50/50 chance of using one of those

There is a (i think) legal version of a modified Charter called Charis SIL, but read the EULA – at least it's possible with this version to prove the combination live.

ITC Charter was a great idea. I also don't think Caecilia is too casual. Other modern, crisp serifs:
