Can someone ID this? I was listening to some music on Pandora and I caught this cover. I have always loved this classic cover now Im just trying to figure out what typeface it is?
Typophile
Nirvana Nirvana
Looks like Onyx
Bodoni Poster Compressed
Nirvana always used the same typeface for their band's name... Check out their other album covers. [EDIT] With the exception of "Incesticide"... There's always an exception. :-)
Onyx is my call too
I know for a fact that Nirvana used ONYX on all of their albums, save Incesticide.
Whoops. I mean Onyx.
Uh... Actually, they used Bodoni... at least if you believe Michael Azerrad's book.
Clashmore, I think you had it right the first time: Bodoni Poster Compressed (from Linotype)
Cool, thanks for the feed back.
