FF Ratio

Chiba Chiba

Last year, during TypeCon Seattle, I picked up this beautiful FF Ratio flyer which I really like. Today I received a brief where this typeface would fit perfectly but wasn't able to find it anywhere.
Anyone knows anything about it?
Please let me know.
Thanks
Frederico

FF Ratio is still under development and we'll have more news soon.

Thank you Stephen.

Corpid and Auto had a baby!

Mikey :-)

Also Matthew Carter’s titling font:

Both of those look fantastic! I assume not, but does anyone have bigger samples or PDFs of either? If you never ask, you never know ...

Specimens of the typefaces shown on the pink card are available here.

Thanks, Gerben, but I was actually referring to FF Ratio and Carter's typeface. I've already devoured the specimens for last year's Reading designs :-)

Ah, I saw that FF Ratio flyer on Flickr quite some time ago (you can find a larger image here). I also thought it's excellent. More news would definitely be appreciated, Stephen! :)

Jelmar> thank you for the link.

Yes, thanks, Jelmar. I'd still like to see more of Carter's serifless typeface, but that was a much better peek.

If you look carefully, there are alternates for the W’s in the Carter flyer.

Mikey :-)

I have a lot of respect for Mark Caneso and his work, but it was decided at this week's FontFont Type Board that Ratio is not right for the foundry. I wish him all the best with the typeface and I'm sure he'll do other great things soon.

O_O

I see the design as derivative, but still a nice take anyway.

I hope he has lots of commercial success with Ratio.

I see what you mean in that pdf you posted.
But I agree it's a nice take nevertheless.
I especially like the heavier weight(s).

Agreed! :)
