Might have something to do with the naming. (Stab in the dark.) You might find these two articles useful.

Are the weightclass values set correctly? For OpenType fonts, Adobe CS apps use those values as part of how they sort fonts in the menu.

It seems to be a problem related with the weightClass value, as Thomas said,

or italic angle value,

or perhaps both.

BTW, it’s uncommon to have a style named “Regular Italic”. Usually it’s just “Italic”.

I’ll check the weightClass values and post my results. Thanks!

WeightClass values weren’t set properly. I’ve fixed them and now it put them in a different (still incorrect) order. Will look into italic angle values.

Added the italic angle values and it still didn’t fix the problem. Hmmm...???
