have you tried checking the PDF’s fonts information in Acrobat (Reader)? If the text hasn’t been converted to outlines (or bitmaps) before, then this will list all the featured font names.

It’s one of those CMSS (Computer Modern Sans Serif) fonts. CMSSDC10 probably.
