Working on a font, & suddenly a green shadow appeared. I can move the glyph out of the way, but the green outline stays (see below). There is also a little green dot in the upper right corner of the character window.
I "selected all" & moved the glyph 400 units in the picture below There was an control extra point where the "1" is, but removing it didn't make the "green" go away. What's going on? (TIA)
Are you working on a Multiple Master font? MM fonts leave this ghost image and that is what it seems like.

Did you accidently press "Ctrl M" or "Apple M"? This shortcut places the currently selected glyph(s) on your mask. Try "Ctrl K" or "Apple K" this should automatically clear the mask of the selected glyph.
Ah, Thanks. Apparently I had hit "Ctrl M". I frequently hit spurious things, including my head on the desk, my hand on my forehead, etc. "Control + K" got rid of it.

Random bashing is also how you discover secret valuable short-cuts not in the manual. I think it's all part of a Russian plot to drive Americans crazy :)
