Hi folks, I just found this board and you guys are amazing. I have a feeling I'll be asking for help here a lot. :)
Anyway, need to know if anyone can ID the font used in the Maxell logo. Thanks in advance. (I attached a file, but if I made an error, the logo can be seen here: http://www.maxell.com/images/mx_r2_c1.gif)
Custom. Not a font.
Jan is right. In case you’re looking for something similar, try Register.

(Sorry, off topic)
I saw it too late … damn! I just have tinkered a quickie and send it, now I hope The Mighty Unzipper has mercy. Thanks, Jan ;°)
[edit: Yes, he has. Cool!]
Some years ago, Büro Destruct created a typeface, based on the letter forms found in the Maxell Logo, named 'Elmax', released/published as a free font under their Type Different label.
