Looking for a vintage typeface (20s to 50s)

commodity

Hi all,

Please, help me. I'm doing a book cover for a professor of mine, and i'm looking for some kind of vintage typeface to go along with it. I'm trying to simulate a vintage poster from the 20s up to 50s, as the book is about a sculptor from that time.

Here are some links to some works that are similar to what I have in mind:

From what I could see, people really liked to use typefaces in an ascendent slope.

Please excuse my engrish!
Marco

Have you tried searching Myfonts with 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s?
eg. http://www.myfonts.com/search?search%5Btext%5D=20s

Also search for the term Art Deco ... that was prevalent during those years. (at least the first part)

Are you familiar with the Gans foundry?

I don't know anything about South American foundries, so I'm making some assumptions here--that the subject of the book is South American, and that the Gans typefaces would have been popular in South America during the 20s--50s, or at least have a similar Latin personality to ones that were popular then and there.

Hey guys, I appreciate the feedback! You have helped me very much! Thank you all!
