(x) Soft monolinear tech sans - several alternatives {Stephen}

thijsg

Hey all,

Now and then I stumble upon these beatiful strokefonts that are used in somewhat older printed matter, I’ve attached a .pdf. Does anybody know where these fonts have their origins? I do know that in old versions of AutoCad there were strokefonts, but maybe anybody knows if there is a program that used this specific font?

Thanks in advance!

Thijs.

I have no experience with CAD programs, but this type reminds me a lot of the soft monolinear letters (often designed by engineers) for routing and stencils. For reference: Isonorm and DIN 17. More recent interpretations include Gotham Rounded and Bryant.

Thank you for your reply and the links!
