hey im looking for a good typewriter font that looks quite naturalistic, with bits that look like the ink didnt print evenly and stuff.. any suggestions?? nothing too weird, just i've seen one that looks like the ink is a bit uneven.
There may be something here that appeals to you. There's no preview for Trixie, but it's one of my distressed typewriter faces of choice.
Vintage Type have long been specialists in this stuff.
BTW The characters in the different weights of FF Magda are positioned in such a way in relation to the baseline, that you can overlay different weights in different colours for even more striking (pardon the pun) effect. And Cornel also designed a clean version.

Cheshiredave (and anyone else interested) if you wanna link to previews of FontFonts, go to www.fontfont.com/shop, click and hold down the mouse button on the name of the type family of your choice and select "Copy link location". Paste in your message, et voilà! (This is how you do it in Netscape 7 om a Mac).
Better yet, link to the Phil's Fonts showings.
FontFont.com is a heinous site that isn't worthy
of the goods they sell.
Yves - I hope you had nothing to do with the
redesign. Fontfont.de was always nice and
they dumped it.
Stephen, I very much remember your post and was equally frustrated by the switch. Nah, I just worked for FS BeNeLux, and that before even the first version of the site went up. I'm still a big supporter of their FontFont collection: professional quality type, a varied collection and a quite generous designer's royalty of 20%.
