It looks like somebody messed around with Gill Italic.

This example helps to show why I think sans italic faces are the hardest things to ID. To me that ’a’ looks nothing like any form of Gill Sans, but so many sans faces have this sort of look. I think it’s Bliss myself.

It’s really (and I mean REALLY) close to Bliss. But if it is, it’s modified (see the r and f).

I’ll third the Bliss with some modification (and maybe a little squooshing too).
