I thought I was hallucinating when I saw this on the RSS feed.
I was going to post this exact same question about the exact mag.

PS. Loved the Monocle's December Travel top 50 pull out.

Indeed it is, but they use some characters in the magazine - and, by the way, in the website - that I can't find in Plantin, like the numbers...

It is a different font?

same font. just old style figures, you'll find them in a plantin expert set, can be both italic or roman etc.
