>I wonder how many were emailing Apple (or whoever produced the ad) to complain about the quotes. Just Si?
I’d prefer to picture Steve Jobs in Starbucks with a straight-off the factory floor Macbook Air. He’s sipping his quad espresso, enjoying a slice of Banana loaf while Sarah McLachlan, or some other iTunes favorite plays unobtrusively over the PA. He decides to check out the extremely clever ad he’s had placed on the online version of the Wall Street Times, so using a single gesture the WSJ page comes up. His smug expressions immediately turns to one of shock, the espresso goes flying landing on his shiny new toy. He whips out his iPhone and within minutes an army of Flash devs quickly start to fix the ad, fearing for their very lives.
The press double-shot...

But you could be right - this candid pic maybe says it all - Steve does a runner when Howard comes on stage... http://farofa.typepad.com/farofa/images/2007/09/05/apple_evento_07.jpg
I suppose it would be bad form for Steve to be going anywhere else but Starbucks. Then again, he IS Steve Jobs. He could call up any coffee producing country in the world to have his very own signature grind of Stevspresso delivered every day.
BTW, I wasn’t taking any personal shots at you or Seattle. I just happen to be a Peet’s fan as well as a Packers fan.
The foam on a Peet’s latte is what I affectionately call marshmallow fluff. I asked a Peet’s staffer if they teach people how to prepare foam in a similar manner at home. I was told, “Only if you buy one of those.”, as he pointed to an espresso machine they had for sale.
Sii: Thanks for the well wish. I only wish I could be there. 4-deg watching the Packers at Lambeau for the NFC Championship. Man.
