Tarzana Wide Bold Italic alternatives

all about seb8 January 2008 · 08:13

Hello all,

I am looking for some good alternatives to Tarzana Wide Bold Italic, which I like for its overall round feel and softness. Having said that, I'd like to stay away from anything that has too much of a tech-y feel to it (ie. Neo Sans, Apex New etc).
Some quirks in the design are nice but not a must.

Thanks in advance,

Seb

Hi Seb,
I guess Tubby or Sauna are too soft & round?

When you say "softness", what do you mean? Here are some wild stabs:

FF Hydra Text
FF Max Demi Serif (no italic yet, sorry)
Cronos
FF Strada
Maiandra

Oh, and of course there's Vista Sans Alt, what I consider a 21st century take on the quirks of Tarzana.

Florian, Stephen & Mike,

thanks for your suggestions. They are all interesting, especially Vista Sans & Ezzo caught my eye.
