Hi Guys,

Do you guys know which typefaces that these guys using? esp. The first three attachment(pete teo, logo, the cardigans)because I really love with those typefaces. Do you guys know similar typefaces like that? also, good for bookd esign/cover magazine.

The last three attachments is just because I am curious and seems these days, those kind of typefaces are in the trendiness.

Thanks :)

• Nelson might be Myriad Pro Condensed Bold?

Thanks a millions guys!

ugh where I can a squooshed® Eagle Bold?

by the way, free font? means the designer created by himself? now ownder, I have been looking around for quite while in the last few days but couldn’t find it anywhere :(
is there anything similar?

Eagle Bold

the free font, um, if you’ve already checked www.dafont.com, then I’m not sure where else.

PETE TEO: the rounds in the P don’t match the rounds in the O, which makes me think it’s a free font.

In the last attachment, “Typography” is Volupia by Dino dos Santos.

Thanks again guys :)

uhmm yeah I was scanning dafont, yesterday and can’t find it. Damn, I really like that font. I do think it was customized by the designer. I was really trying to dig about this font so, I even found his flickr account lol

Just want to share:
Love what he did with the typefaces and I bet that also, another custom typefaces

I know it’s quite out of content with the topic
but its that hard to make a custom typeface like what he did?
Except, logo design, I rarely customized typefaces and never created from A - Z letters

If you want to learn more about type design maybe read my series An Introduction to Type Design on Unzipped. I don’t really focus on type design software and technicalities, but it should give you a pretty good idea what it entails. The bit about spacing and kerning is coming up.

Episode 1 An Introduction to Type Design | The Type Designer as Artist
Episode 2 An Introduction to Type Design | The Type Designer as Craftsman

Thanks man! thats really useful! and its more easy to read than Rober Bringhurst books!

Please update me if you comes up with the new episode or need some help :) or If the athor release a book! I would like to buy one cuz I always sketching up tons typefaces during lunch or when I am in the bus but! I never found a way how to do it or just simply afraid that my font is going to be look the same with some other fonts out there.
