Ellipse and Polygon tools not appearing

I have an older version of InDesign (the basic CS). When I hover over the rectangle tool or the rectangle frame tool, none of my other tools or frame tools appear. Is there another way to access them?

Not sure if these are the same for ID CS1. May need to go to the manual.
