Bureaucrats reprimanded for posts about typography

Gus Winterbottom

Uh oh. To all those who post to Typophile from work: Bureaucrats at the Japanese Agriculture Ministry have been reprimanded for posting to Wikipedia about “typographical mistakes on billboard signs” (?!).

“Hey Bob, we’ve noticed that you tend you think about things non-work related. It’s as if you have some sort of ’life’ outside of work. This is unacceptable.”

“The Agriculture Ministry is not in charge of Gundam,” said ministry official Tsutomu Shimomura.

I’m going to be really jealous if I find out Japan actually has a Ministry of Gundam.

I’d agree with reprimanding Bureaucrats who post comments about typography. They should stick to Britny and Paris Hilton videos, chain letter emails and cute animal pics.
