I never used IMs much, but I do like to correct spelling, grammar

or go back and add a link, etc. But sometimes, if someone has already replied, it seems disjointed (posterity is watching).

I would like that to be fixed before something like IMs.
I hardly ever edit posts now, eventhough I often want to add and/or correct something or put in proper links if I didn't at first.

You mean "grammar", but you probably don't want to go back and fix it. ;) Actually, I guess editing the first post is ok.
