Anyone recognise this font?

andyhowes

Hi there - im new to the ’font’ world, but am starting to gain interest.
I build websites on the side - and I was wondering if anyone could tell me the font http://similicio.us uses as there logo font. I love the clean simple look - love the ’u’.

Thanks in advance
~Andy

Hi Andy,

Often you can find the a font name by checking the source code of the website. That font is Century Gothic.

Eileen

And if Century Gothic is not installed on his machine, then he would be seeing Trebuchet.

True - and if no Trebuchet, then Arial Narrow and so on down the code:

font-family:”Century Gothic”, “Trebuchet MS”, “Arial Narrow”, Arial, sans-serif;

It’s also not a logo, by the way, but that’s a whole different discussion.

Thank you!!!
Great help, and I know about the view-source code - just not how to find the style sheet code that referenced???
Regards,
~Andy

It’s easy. The source code on similicio.us references a css style sheet in this line:

link href=”sim.css” rel=”stylesheet” type=”text/css”

So, simply add sim.css to the end of the url, like this:

http://similicio.us/sim.css

Then, find the “h1” style attributed to the font you’re looking for.

Viola!
