Jim Beam Black fonts

Eyerish53

Hey everyone. I am new to the board, although I have been a lurker and reader for quite some time. I am working on a t-shirt design that is based on the Jim Beam Black ad campaign. I am mostly finished with my design, but I NOT satisfied with the font that I have come up with. Here is the Jim Beam ad and my design side by side.

and please ignore the typo :)

Where their word is BLACK and yours is DELTA - you might want to try a Bodoni Bold

Thanks Jackie!

anyone have an idea what fon't the "Jim Beam" is?

Custom designed, so you'll have to settle for a close match. Anyone?

Bump...anyone have any idea what might be a close match to the Jim Beam part of the image?

Have you looked at http://www.letterheadfonts.com/ ?

Sour Mash looks like Palatino, Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey also Bodoni Bold.

I just checked out letterheadfonts.com....what a great website! I didn't see anything that really jumped out at me that is close to the Jim Beam custom font here. Thank you all for the other matches.

Hmmm. It looks like Texas Christian University Delta Tau Delta's "commitment" is to drinking (Jim Beam).

Yes...rest assured that it was edited prior to printing/approval :)

I wasn't referring to the misspelling. Numerous incidents around the country involving fraternities and drinking have resulted in hospitalization, death, jail time, expulsion, and the shutting down of fraternities.

I hope your fraternity does nothing foolish in that regard. But if something should happen, you have already suggested (if not gone on record) that Delta Tau Delta is committed to drinking, thus increasing your liability.

I have nothing against responsible drinking, but linking your fraternity (even by a T-shirt) to drinking doesn't seem like a good idea to me. Also, copying a company's brand identity is neither original nor creative.
