The only "Eastern Indian" type designer I know is R K Joshi, but he's massively significant.
I don't know of any Amerind type designers.

Hi I meant East Indian. I have heard of RK Roshi, but all the web links I've found to him (mainly on Luc's site) are out of date.

i was searching for some indic fonts a couple months back and found C-DAC has some really beautiful fonts. If yer familiar with Luc's pages, he has a link on his Indic page to their typography website. unfortunately, i didn't find any designer information in conjunction with their excellent faces. but they're worth looking at!

Both Indian desigenrs and Indic fonts. The reason is building letters ( http://www.buildingletters.org ) I am researching the next issue which may focus on India.
