(x) Vintage looking serif face - Poor Richard {Nick Curtis}

rickruss

I have tried all the online identifiers I know of and came up empty. I have attached a sample (and hope it works!)

Thanks in advance...

That's quite a small sample...

Not it, but Metropolis has a similar feel.

Kinda feels a bit like Cochin too.

And there is a touch of University...

I believe it's Poor Richard (although the sample is one year off)...

I agree...it's like a hodgepodge of several fonts. The crossbar on the "e" doesn't connect on the left (like Banjoman) and the "g" has a number 8 appearance (sort of like Al Koch Antiqua and Locarno - only connected). Long ascenders (like Bernadette and University Roman) and a large bowl on the "a"(exaggerated, resembling Kabel).

Attached is a larger sample. Thanks for your help.

WE HAVE A WINNER! Poor Richard it is. OMG, thank you so much!

Kinda also looks like Bodoni Classic Hand.

EDIT: Ooops, I was a little late on the draw.

It's is Poor Richard. I made the first film font of that in 1965. I had it in 72 point metal and then was transformed into a photo-lettering face.

To get the alternate 'g' used in the image, try the Phil's Fonts version - it's a tad less expensive to boot.
