MS DOS typeface and Edwardian Script

hi, does anyone know the name of the default typeface for MS DOS?
and any info on its origins?
And does anybody know about the origins of Edwardian Script? the foundary? time period?

Can you show us the MS DOS face?

ITC Edwardian Script was designed in 1994 by Ed Benguiat for ITC.

this is command prompt which i think is similar to the default typeface,
but if i can get the name of this it should be ok

Microsoft installs a font called Terminal with Windows. I believe that’s the one used by CMD.

There are other faces available that emulate the look of this as well.
