(x) Times New Roman-like font on "Tah Hsin Industrial Corp." business card {Max I. Mus}

Mr Brown

My other half showed me this business card from ]her travels.
I was really into.
So came upstairs to scan and post on the I.D board
Now I can see it close up it looks like times
is not though is it?

Mr Brown

It's not Times. The name looks like Linotype Excelsior, slightly condensed, but the "g" is wrong. The rest looks like some form of Bookman, perhaps Bookman Old Style.

> Please tell me its not Times New Roman

It’s not Times New Roman.

Adobe Serif substitution font perhaps?

- Lex

i agree with lex... and at a guess, it is probably trying to imitate bookman

The name and title seems to be Georgia,

The info at the bottom is Bookman Old Style

the TAH HSIN etc. I don't know.

I should have recognized Georgia, but I'm not used to seeing it off screen, especially not on stationary.

The "TAH HSIN..." line is actually Times Roman, squooshed a bit.

> The “TAH HSIN…” line is actually Times Roman.

Nope. Serifs of the S are angled here. Not so in Times.

I'm guessing it is the roman part of a chinese font. That would mean it was probably created by either

or

Wow thanks.
I'm glad its not Times.
I think its what typical said:
a western / roman version of a Chinese typeface.
LiSong Pro on my Mac system is not exactly the same but
has the same if not better feel.

Thanks to all of you who posted
