(x) Tech sans on "Dundee Degree Show" poster - ITC Conduit {Jonathon Russell}

Samsblues

Thought it was FF DIN but numbers threw me off. could someone help? thanks.

The small type is also Conduit. The l.c. 'g' and the U.C. 'S' and generally squarer counters are all Conduit signatures. "If it looks like DIN, but isn't, it's usually Conduit." -- I think that was an Yves Rule.

Thankyou Guy's. i love this font

Why is conduit often disparaged by type purists ?
I really think it's beautiful.

Where? Who said that?

From fonts.com...

"Or, as Erik Spiekermann said, “The beauty in ITC Conduit is that it doesn’t pretend to be anything that it’s not. It may not be pretty, but it is versatile, legible and easy to work with – a wonderfully stupid typeface.”

Kind of a back-handed compliment?

I'm not sure who else has disparaged it, but I've always liked Conduit. I used to use it on my website, and had a few people (non-typophiles) comment that they "liked the font..."

Where ? I just can't remember...
What I know for sure is that some time ago, I was looking for substitute to the overused DIN.
In my souvenirs, I was shocked by what people said about conduit.

And I think it was in here...
Leave me some time, as I'm too busy to search now, but I'll be back !
