have seen this font used everywhere when they wanted to give it a slightly indian look...but i have no idea which font this is...or is it something doctored...any help would be appreciated...

I’ve forgotten that one, but there is also Simran, Modakshar and Sansara.

Originally (predigitally) called Shalimar - and digitized by Type Revivals as Shalimar. Shreyas’s Samarkand is just as legitimate a revival, though. I’ve no idea about the relative quality of the two fonts.
