Design Of The Time typeface query?

The White Lion

Hello all,

I am new to typophile and hopefully I am posting this in the right place...

I was wondering if any of you knew what the typeface was that is used in the logo of “Design Of The Time”?

Here is the website:

http://www.dott07.com/

Many thanks,

Nat

A couple that are similar can be found at Letterhead Fonts. Check out Garner and Chesham Sans.

Chesham Sans: http://www.letterheadfonts.com/fonts/cheshamsans.shtml

Garner: http://www.letterheadfonts.com/fonts/garner.shtml

it’s avant garde, surely?

A couple of other similars would be Avenir, Gill Sans and Monotype’s Abadi.

Okay, I’m an idiot. I’m identifying the font in the “Castle” sign. This is what happens when you’re racing to make an ID and not paying attention.

Time to make a fresh pot of coffee.

Thanks to all who replied,

I was very impressed with the speed of your responses!

I think I will be going with Avant Garde, though the others were pretty similar.

Any ideas about the different sized “0” for the “07” is there a special way you can do this or is it part of the typeface?

Thanks again.

Oops, no worries, I understood there was a mix up when I went back on the site. I wondered if I’d specified enough.

Thanks for your efforts.

The “special way” to get the small ’0’ is to use a lower case ’o’ instead.

Oh, ok. Thanks Lex! I just wondered because I remember typefaces like APOLLO by Frutiger had the “drop numbers” if there is such a term!

If you go in and create your own sample and type in 07 you will see the seven has a descender!

Thanks all the same, as I will be using the “special way” you suggested!
