Rudolf Koch - construction of Roman Capitals

miles

I used to have Koch book that showed his construction diagrams of Roman capitals.
I have lost this book and wonder if any of you have it and could scan them for me.

any help appreciated

Hey Miles.
What's the book called?
How much time do you have?

hhp

probably 'Das Schreibbuchlein'.
I've always plenty of time.

I'll see what I can do - but it might take me a while.
In the meantime you might try asking the folks at P22.

cheers Hrant

this is part of what I'm looking for

Miles, it's looking like I'll be picking up the book on Wednesday.

Miles, I believe some of these drawings are reproduced in Walter Tracy's book Letters of Credit. David R. Godine's paperback edition even has some of them on the cover.

He,hee...

Just found on Ebay Germany:

Good luck.

Miles, once in a while the UCLA library will mess up. Today was such a case: they didn't process my request so the book (which is stored at an off-library archive) was not there for me to pick up. It will be there from tomorrow, but I'm not sure how soon I'll get back there. Eventually (maybe even as soon as the end of this month) I will get it though.

But in the meantime if you plan on picking up that copy on auction let me know.

Bleisetzer -
i checked out the ebay germany site. very interesting. how much is 2,50 e? is this a good deal?

It's 4.99 Euro plus 2.5 Euro shipping*. That's about ten bucks.** Good deal?
Very, I'd say. But that IS the starting price. And I can't tell if there's a reserve.

* To an address in Germany it seems.

Miles, I *finally* got my hands on it! (And it's luscious.)
It's been ~1.5 years so let me know if you still need it.
